Sorrel

Sorrel/Sobolo/Bissap is a sweet and spiced hibiscus drink that can be found all over Africa & the Caribbean all with their own unique twist.

In Africa, especially the west, we tend to heavily spice our hibiscus drinks with spices such as cloves, ginger, grains of selim and sometimes cayenne. In the Caribbean hibiscus drinks are heavily spiced but with somewhat sweeter spices such as cinnamon, star anise etc.

Our Sorrel is takes inspiration from West Africa & The Caribbean to create this gently sweet and spiced hibiscus drink that can be served chilled, gently warmed on the stove as as a tea, mixed with a little sparkling water or with something stronger if that’s your thing.🌺
